Welcome to the Workshop on Stochastic Thermodynamics
Stochastic thermodynamics has revolutionized our understanding of far-from-equilibrium statistical physics over the last few decades and continues to result in profound, powerful results ranging from fluctuation theorems over speed-limit theorems to thermodynamic uncertainty relations. This annual online workshop focuses on this fast-developing field, both its theoretical and experimental aspects, and its application to other fields of research.
This workshop combines a high-profile list of invited speakers with lightning talks that give an opportunity for junior researchers to submit their latest research. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups and developing countries, and have increased the number of lightning talks to 5 per topic this year.

Submit an abstract for a lightning talk at WOST V (2024)
Alongside our invited speakers, we also encourage junior scientists to submit abstracts for lightning (10 minute) presentations. To submit an abstract, please complete this form by 1 March 2024 (note – submitting an abstract does not constitute registration for the conference). We particularly encourage submissions from underrepresented groups and developing countries.
